The lights in the underground parking lot were a little dim. After Xiao Xing parked the car, she turned to look at Bai Moqing. Bai Moqing did not seem ready to get out. Her face was as still and calm as a mountain lake. She turned her head, and their eyes met.
Bai Moqing’s eyes were pure black. When she was not smiling, those ink-dark eyes were like a black hole. Xiao Xing leaned over and slowly moved closer.
Bai Moqing felt nervous, yet there was a trace of expectation. Just as Xiao Xing was about to press close to her, Bai Moqing reminded her, “President Xiao.”

Compared with An Huaigu, Bai Moqing’s attitude toward Xiao Xing was much better. She let Xiao Xing hold her hand and lead her into the elevator without the slightest resistance.
The elevator stopped on the first floor. A middle-aged man with a big belly walked in, dressed in a suit and leather shoes. He was either a major boss or some company executive.
When the middle-aged man saw two tall women with outstanding looks and figures, his eyes lit up. His gaze moved from their faces toward their chests. Then he saw the two of them holding hands and froze. Could they be that kind of people again?
Xiao Xing released Bai Moqing’s hand, stepped forward half a step, and shielded Bai Moqing behind her. She looked at the middle-aged man with icy eyes. The air conditioning in the elevator had been turned off after autumn began, but the middle-aged man still shivered all over. The elevator stopped on the twelfth floor. The middle-aged man stumbled out. Only Bai Moqing and Xiao Xing remained inside.
Laughter suddenly came from behind her. Xiao Xing turned back and looked at Bai Moqing in confusion. Bai Moqing quickly put away her smile.
When Xiao Xing had let go of her hand, Bai Moqing had felt a little sad. She understood the man’s gaze. He had thought the two women were lesbians.
She had thought Xiao Xing cared about such worldly looks, so she released her hand. Unexpectedly, Xiao Xing had actually protected her behind her and blocked the man’s gaze completely.

Ding. The elevator arrived. Bai Moqing did not answer Xiao Xing’s question. She turned sideways around Xiao Xing and walked out.
With her back to Xiao Xing, Bai Moqing smiled like spring had stirred her heart.
When she turned and saw the unfamiliar door, she remembered this was Xiao Xing’s home, not her own.
Xiao Xing walked out of the elevator and saw Bai Moqing standing at the door like a silly little puppy. She touched Bai Moqing’s head. “Very cute.” The movement and tone were especially like she was treating a little pet.
A perfect head pat.
Watching Xiao Xing open the door, Bai Moqing suddenly gathered her courage. She boldly stepped forward and asked, “President Xiao, do you like me?”
The last three words were very soft. Bai Moqing felt her whole body heat up as if on fire. Her heart seemed to have been injected with two shots of excitement. It burned and pounded fiercely, each beat striking up into her throat.
Beep, beep. Click. The door lock opened. Xiao Xing pushed the door open and turned back with an expression as if she had not heard clearly. “What did you just say?”
