Yin Wu helped Li Lingjiang hide her ears, then supported her off the bed. Outside, the people were still pounding hard on the door, their shouts growing louder and louder.
“Is anyone there!”
The wooden door could not block the noise at all. The chatter from many mouths made Li Lingjiang frown.
She looked toward the door with a dark gaze, her expression a little colder. “I will open it.”
Yin Wu did not refuse, but she still followed behind her.
Outside the door were more than a hundred men and women, all crowded into the courtyard. The man knocking on the door slapped it impatiently and muttered, “Damn it. Why are they so slow?”

Li Lingjiang’s expression remained indifferent. Yin Wu slowly walked to her side and looked coldly at the dark mass of people. “What are so many of you trying to do?”
The man still wanted to speak, but the leader gently pushed him aside. The other party bowed slightly. He had a mild face and wore a special sect uniform with the word “immortal” engraved on it. He looked scholarly and polite, and his words were warm and gentle.
“Forgive us. I am Wen Si. It was my poor management that allowed you to be offended. Please-”
“No need.”

Someone echoed, “Exactly. That would be much safer than just the two of you, right? Our attitude was bad, but we already apologized. You should at least give us some face.”
