Running Off With The Sect Senior Sister Chapter 70

Don't Be Afraid

“Luo Yi, Luo Yi, what are you doing?” Luo Er asked, trembling, her lips turning purple.
Luo Tangtang lowered herself, her slender fingers picking up Feng Qing. Then, she gently raised the fingertips of her other hand and bent them slightly. A dark Azure Flame surged, instantly engulfing the space before her, and a chaotic gate materialized.
Luo Tangtang didn’t even look at Luo Er. With a flash, she disappeared into the chaotic gate.
“Fuck.” Luo Er couldn’t help but curse. She whipped her head around to look at the unconscious Yun Shayi beside her, wanting to go over and kick her. “Get up! What are you fainting for?”
However, her foot kicked an invisible barrier.
Luo Er: “…”
She instantly clutched her throbbing temple.
When Luo Tangtang arrived at the Supreme Immortal Sect, the seal on the rift had already been broken. It was enormous. The nearby void was gradually being devoured, and the rift’s range was expanding.
The sky suddenly darkened. A powerful suction force swept out from the rift. Those who remained in the Supreme Immortal Sect were mostly disciples with low cultivation or new initiates. Naturally, they couldn’t resist this force. Some who were closer were even directly “swallowed” by the rift, vanishing, ceasing to exist.
A dark Azure Flame insignia appeared on Luo Tangtang’s forehead. Her robes billowed noisily. She was already slender, and now, holding a longsword and facing the rift, she seemed even more minuscule.
A massive dark Azure Flame barrier isolated everything. On the other side of the fire wall, the wind stopped.
Luo Tangtang’s body also underwent a strange transformation. Her meridians bulged all over her body, and one could clearly see blood flowing within them. The power generated by the mixing of the Netherworld Azure Flame and the rift’s chaotic energy coursed violently through Luo Tangtang’s body along her meridians. In an instant, Luo Tangtang’s face lost all color, becoming deathly pale.
She closed her eyes briefly, hung Feng Qing at her waist, and forcibly suppressed the surging blood in her chest. She continuously mixed the Netherworld Azure Flame and the chaotic energy, then slowly began to mend the rift.
This was a complex and mentally taxing task. Before long, Luo Tangtang was exhausted in body and mind. Moreover, a bone-piercing, heart-stabbing pain followed her like a shadow, tormenting her constantly.
“Screech.” Suddenly, a giant, crocodile-like foot stepped out of the rift. Cold sweat broke out on Luo Tangtang’s forehead.
What was even more suffocating was that a huge commotion suddenly came from the fire wall behind her. Someone was attacking it, attempting to break through.
“Luo Yi!” someone roared angrily from behind.
It was Jun Chuxi and Yun Shayi.
Besides them, Luo Tangtang also saw many familiar faces: Zhi Yu, Zhi He, Ye Siwen, and others.
I didn’t expect them to wake up so quickly. Luo Tangtang looked somewhat bitterly at the woman glaring at her.
“Was it you who broke the seal?” Yun Shayi’s eyes were bloodshot as she spoke through gritted teeth.
“No,” Luo Tangtang said hoarsely. “I’ll explain this to you later, but don’t interfere with me now.”
The shadows of several behemoths drifted out from the rift. Luo Tangtang had used all her spiritual energy to mend the rift and had no spare capacity to deal with them.
Until Feng Qing flew out from her waist and viciously pierced Luo Tangtang’s body.
Blood dripped, flowing down the wound. Her eyes seemed somewhat dazed. She gazed into the distance, towards Wuyang Mountain. The mountain was covered in snow, but Luo Tangtang knew there was a small flower shed on it, filled with blooming flowers.
Her whole body became somewhat transparent. Her time was up. She needed to use the chaotic energy from the rift to mend this world, which might provoke a backlash and resistance from the world itself. She needed Feng Qing on her as a medium.
At this moment, Luo Er arrived.
“Number One!” Luo Er ran in front of her, blocking those who wanted to attack.
“Luo Er, so you really are with Luo Yi!” someone said hatefully through gritted teeth.
Luo Er was about to go mad. She roared, “Are you all blind? Can you calm down a bit? Number One is mending the rift!”
“Nu… Number One.” Luo Er wanted to touch Luo Tangtang but realized something was wrong.
As soon as her voice fell, a deafening roar sounded, and lightning flashed across the sky. Luo Er had touched upon the Main God’s taboo and was detected; the Main God intended to stop her. Luo Er’s face instantly became dejected and despairing. Lightning struck her. She didn’t move, not daring to resist in the slightest, only trying her best to stay away from Luo Tangtang to avoid the lightning striking her by mistake.
The huge rift trembled even more violently. One or two primordial demonic beasts wanted to escape from the outside into this world.
A flash of sword light sliced through one of the giant feet in the rift, severed directly by Yun Shayi. She walked up to Luo Tangtang, looking at this disheveled, blood-covered person with a complicated expression.
“Cooled down now?” Luo Tangtang gently raised her eyes to look at the person who had walked up to her. Blood dripped from her whole body into the rift, but she seemed completely unconcerned. Her raised hand didn’t lower; she was still enduring the pain, mixing the Netherworld Azure Flame and chaotic energy.
Yun Shayi’s expression suddenly became even more complex. Then, the complexity gradually faded, replaced by panic and shock. Perhaps because she was the so-called Child of Heaven’s Path, she could feel that this ravaged world was actually gradually repairing itself. So she became even more confused: why would someone, who everyone claimed committed every evil imaginable, go to such lengths to mend this world?
Luo Tangtang looked at her hand and gave a bitter smile. Streams of blood flowed down, mixing with the Netherworld Azure Flame, and rushed towards the rift.
Instantly, the rift that had been struggling to stay open healed. The dangerous and terrifying figures vanished. The fire wall also dissipated. Luo Tangtang stumbled a few steps in the void. Yun Shayi’s eyes twitched slightly, but she held back from stepping forward.
Everyone’s faces showed disbelief.
“What exactly are you trying to do?” Yun Shayi stared intently at Luo Tangtang and asked.
Luo Tangtang turned her face away. She looked into the distance. The Main God seemed furious; the thunder tribulations continued unabated.
“Give Feng Qing to Luo Er. It can help her,” Luo Tangtang said softly. Her eyes were vast and distant, as if they contained the entire sky, mountains, and oceans.
She didn’t look at Yun Shayi again and vanished.
There wasn’t just one rift. She didn’t have much time left.
After mending all the rifts, she still had to go to the Extreme North Realm to completely eliminate future troubles.
Luo Er’s thunder tribulation continued relentlessly. She was disheveled and covered in blood. Some of her flesh had already turned charred black, looking horrific.
Only when Yun Shayi tossed Feng Qing out and stood beside Luo Er did the surging thunder tribulation finally subside.
But Luo Er didn’t give her a kind look. She still remembered Number One covered in blood, and Yun Shayi’s merciless sword strike.
“Luo Er, what exactly happened? What do you know? What did Luo Yi hide?” Yun Shayi frowned, her voice urgent.
Without the flames blocking them, Ye Siwen and the others also came forward, their eyes all fixed on Luo Er.
Luo Er’s face was full of irritation. She said sarcastically, “The Wanxi Sect’s treasure, the Jie Jiutian—can’t it trace back time and see past events?”
“Go see for yourselves. Why ask me? Even if I told you, would you believe it?”
Luo Er curled her lip, her face full of disgust, looking at everyone.
In the Extreme North Realm, Luo Tangtang lay casually on the ground. Her white clothes were stained with blood and dust.
But without Feng Qing, she was severely rejected by this world, and her injuries worsened. She looked at her hand; half of her body was already transparent. I must look very strange now, she thought.
Luo Tangtang thought bitterly, and tears suddenly couldn’t be stopped; they just fell.
These are all my memories. Next, I’ll be punished by this world’s Main God, stripped of all emotions, and then become an emotionless tool.
Being a tool is fine. Having no emotions is fine too. Emotions are truly too tiring, and too painful.
Luo Tangtang blinked. She was now exhausted and weak all over. Even every breath felt like a stone pressing tightly on her chest, stuffy and suffocating.
After a long while, she began to gasp for breath violently, her chest heaving intensely, and bloody froth spilled from her mouth.
Suddenly, someone moved slowly, as if cradling a fragile treasure. But why are their hands trembling?
Luo Tangtang’s eyelids fought to stay open. She groggily tried to open her eyes, but they were covered by a cool hand. She fell into a gentle embrace, a familiar cold fragrance at the tip of her nose.
Yun Shayi was trembling all over, despair in her eyes. She carefully held the woman in her arms, whose breathing was shallow. From her heart came the sound of blood being squeezed and crushed.
“Senior Sister.” Yun Shayi slit her own wrist, pouring her blood onto the other person. “I’ll give you my blood, all of it. Can you stay this way?”
Her eyes were bloodshot, and a roaring filled her ears. She remembered everything she had seen at the Wanxi Sect: the roaring flames in the Extreme North Realm threatening to devour everything, and the small, weak figure standing in front of her.
She saw her hands trembling, yet she resolutely raised the sword in her hand.
She saw the frenzied, despairing look on her face, yet she still forced herself to appear calm, pretending to be heartless and break ties with her.
And she saw her constantly enduring the world’s backlash, rolling on the bed in pain.
She saw the truth, saw everything she hadn’t known. It was all because of her.
But it was useless. After Yun Shayi’s blood seeped into Luo Tangtang’s body, it was expelled again. It couldn’t fuse. Luo Tangtang’s body was still gradually dissipating.
Yun Shayi panicked. She wanted to hold the other person tightly but was afraid that using too much force would make her dissipate faster. Her suppressed sobs completely broke free, turning into loud wails.
“What should I do? Senior Sister, tell me what to do!”
Hot liquid continuously fell on her face. Luo Tangtang sank into a state of chaos, her whole body feeling as if it were sinking to the bottom of a lake, constantly descending.
“Then I’ll give you my heart,” someone suddenly said.
“Don’t be afraid.” Luo Tangtang struggled to speak, even as her body underwent things she couldn’t control.
