The snow stopped and started for three days straight. Snow on the roads was covered over, then swept away again. No one cleared the snow from the flower beds and green belts, so it piled higher and higher.
Pure white snow was very tempting. Seeing adults and children playing in the snow, the little orange cat could not resist going out once. The moment she landed, her whole body sank into the snow. The icy snow melted into water and soaked her fur, so cold it hurt down to the bone. Trembling, the little orange cat immediately went home and swore she would absolutely not go out again until winter was over.
Standing on the bay window and looking outside, she saw that the snow, which had stopped for half an hour, had begun falling again. Flakes drifted thickly toward the ground. The little orange cat tucked in her paws and lay down, swaying her tail as she missed Bai Moqing, who was at work, and Yun Su, who had left and still not returned.
The wind howled over. The snow grew dense. For a while, heaven and earth turned gray and dark. It was clearly only nine in the morning, but the sky was as dark as early night.
The wind sounded like ghosts crying and wolves howling, making one’s heart uneasy. Fear rose in the little orange cat for no reason. She instinctively moved toward the small blanket and hid most of her body under it, leaving only her head outside.
A figure suddenly appeared in the wind and snow, drifting down toward the ground with the snowflakes. The little orange cat froze. Why did that person look a little familiar?
Meow! Yun Su!
Before the figure landed, the little orange cat turned human and rushed out, bringing the person back in the blink of an eye.
Yun Su lay motionless in Feiyue’s arms. Her eyes were closed, and her breathing was slow and weak. The clothes she wore were intact, exactly the same as when she left. There was no smell of blood on her either. She looked as if she was only asleep.
What had Yun Su encountered in the True Dragon Secret Realm? Why had she taken so long to return? And why had she come back like this?
Holding Yun Su, Feiyue carefully placed her on the bed. Looking at Yun Su’s faint breath, Feiyue’s heart clenched with pain.
“Yun Yun, wake up.” Feiyue gently pushed Yun Su. Her movement was as tender as if she were touching a beloved treasure. Yun Su did not react. Even her eyelids did not move.
Yun Su heard Feiyue’s voice. It was soft and low, as if it came from somewhere very far away, yet also seemed close enough to touch. But she could not move, and she could not speak. She was trapped inside a mass of chaos. The feeling was like when she had been little, waiting inside a chaotic shell to break free.
Feiyue’s cultivation was lower than Yun Su’s. She carefully checked Yun Su’s body. There were no external injuries. When she used divine sense to inspect Yun Su’s Divine Terrace, her divine sense seemed to sink into a bottomless black abyss. Other than a foggy haze, she could see nothing.
Afraid something had happened to Yun Su, Feiyue hurried to find Bai Moqing.
Today, Tang Yue wore a gray wool coat. Under it was a black long skirt with a slit. It was a completely different style from her usual professional suit dress.
Bai Moqing looked at the pure white snow outside, then looked at Assistant Tang. Finally, she turned her gaze to An Huaigu. Right now, only Sister An could probably tell her why Assistant Tang had suddenly changed styles.
“Sister An, have you noticed Assistant Tang is a little different from usual today?”
“Is she?” An Huaigu brushed her hair back and raised her head to look at the office across from them. Tang Yue happened to lift her head at that moment. Their gazes met, and An Huaigu clearly saw the love in Tang Yue’s eyes.
Her memory drifted back to last night.
The snowy, windy night had been lonely and cold. An Huaigu was the only person at home. Suddenly, she wanted to eat the tomato egg noodles Tang Yue made, so she called Tang Yue.
Tang Yue had just arrived home and taken off her wool coat when she received An Huaigu’s call. Without the slightest hesitation, she immediately put on a thick coat, went out to buy ingredients, and went to An Huaigu’s home.
After dinner, An Huaigu did not say anything, and Tang Yue did not ask. Very naturally, Tang Yue stayed at An Huaigu’s place.
It was not the first time the two had slept in the same bed, but they had never crossed the line. Tonight, however, some long-awaited things were destined to happen.
After Tang Yue finished bathing and came out, An Huaigu was already lying down.
A drama whose leads An Huaigu could not name played on the television. An Huaigu leaned against a soft pillow on the bed, playing on a tablet.
Hearing the bathroom door open, An Huaigu looked up. Tang Yue walked out wearing the peach-pink coral fleece robe An Huaigu had just bought, wiping her hair. The slightly open robe faintly revealed a tempting scene. An Huaigu swallowed instinctively. Heat rose in her lower belly, and even her underwear felt faintly damp.
An Huaigu had seen all of Tang Yue’s care for her these past few days. Calling Tang Yue over meant that, in her heart, she already had the thought of being with her.
Tang Yue could see it too. The peach-pink coral fleece robe on her body and the lake-blue coral fleece robe on An Huaigu’s body were clearly a couple set.
Even the toothbrushes and cups in the bathroom had quietly been changed into a pair.
With hints this clear, anyone who still did not understand would be far too dull.
After getting into bed, Tang Yue turned off the television and pulled An Huaigu into her arms. An Huaigu obediently leaned into the hollow of her neck. When feelings came naturally, no formal confession was needed. One kiss was enough to show everything.
The fire in her heart seemed ready to melt An Huaigu. Her red lips parted slightly. She reached out with her tongue and tentatively licked Tang Yue’s soft lips, answering her kiss.
The fresh mint taste of toothpaste still lingered on Tang Yue’s lips. An Huaigu’s mind cleared a little. She opened her eyes and looked at Tang Yue. Tang Yue’s brows and eyes were full of desire. An Huaigu closed her eyes. She knew very clearly what would happen next.
The kiss kept deepening. Tang Yue felt for the robe belt. With one tug, the loose knot came undone. Her hand slowly moved upward along An Huaigu’s waist and abdomen, finally touching the softness she had long wanted.
Just as passion was about to peak, heavy pounding suddenly came from outside, along with the violent rattle of someone twisting the doorknob.
An Huaigu opened her eyes and glanced toward the door. Her body temperature dropped sharply. She pushed Tang Yue’s shoulder and said breathlessly, “Huaijian is back.”
An Huaijian did not like Tang Yue. Tang Yue’s messy past was like a fishbone stuck in her throat. If her sister got together with Tang Yue, she would only be hurt.
In An Huaijian’s heart, her sister should be with someone gentle, careful, and loyal, not a woman like Tang Yue, who had overflowing feelings and casually found women for one-night stands.
In the shoe cabinet was a pair of high heels that clearly did not match her sister’s style or size. The moment An Huaijian saw them, she knew Tang Yue was in their home.
The bedroom had very good soundproofing. Only by pressing close to the door could she hear faint sounds.
Breathing and soft cries mixed together. It took An Huaijian a moment to react to what kind of adult activity was happening inside.
After putting her robe back on, An Huaigu opened the door. Like an angry lion whose territory had been occupied, An Huaijian rushed toward Tang Yue as soon as the door opened. “Bastard, you tricked my sister into bed!”
An Huaigu was speechless.
They were already adults. Going to bed was something both sides agreed to. Before An Huaijian could hit Tang Yue, An Huaigu pulled back her rampaging younger sister and told her about the relationship they had just confirmed. “Huaijian, Tang Yue and I are dating.”
The blush from desire had not yet faded from Tang Yue’s face. She tugged the quilt and, though she had been the top just now, now looked like the bottom. She echoed An Huaigu, “Your sister and I are lovers now.”
An Huaijian had misunderstood Tang Yue all along. Because of those misunderstandings, she had interfered with Tang Yue and An Huaigu’s feelings. Otherwise, the two would have been together back at the bar.
The word lovers made An Huaijian cry from anger. She hugged An Huaigu and buried herself against her shoulder, crying, “Sister, how can you like her?”
An Huaijian was truly heartbroken over her sister falling for Tang Yue.
Seeing An Huaijian hold An Huaigu for so long without letting go, Tang Yue would have suspected the sisters were far too close if she had not known An Huaijian liked President Xiao.
Under An Huaigu’s explanation, An Huaijian barely agreed to let them be together. But after that fuss, neither of them had the mood to continue.
“Assistant An isn’t wearing a shirt under her coat today.” Bai Moqing’s voice pulled An Huaigu’s thoughts back. An Huaigu secretly glanced at Assistant Tang. Assistant Tang was looking at Sister An with deep affection.
“Mm, she is wearing a skirt.” An Huaigu smiled, and in that smile was an indescribable feeling.
Bai Moqing froze, then suddenly understood. What Assistant Tang wore was not her own clothing at all. That black skirt and that gray wool coat were both Sister An’s.
Assistant Tang had been at Sister An’s home last night!
Bai Moqing was still immersed in the pleasant surprise that Sister An and Assistant Tang had gotten together when Feiyue suddenly appeared and gave her a fright.
Without any warning, Feiyue popped into existence in front of Bai Moqing. Her face was full of anxiety. She grabbed Bai Moqing’s wrist and said hurriedly, “Qingqing, Yun Su is back. Hurry home and look at her!” Then she pulled Bai Moqing, about to leave.
“Feiyue?” Seeing Feiyue appear out of thin air, An Huaigu’s mind crashed. Not only her, Tang Yue across from them was also badly startled.
What had just happened?
Hearing the commotion, Xiao Xing appeared in front of Bai Moqing without thinking.
One shock after another struck An Huaigu and Tang Yue. Knowing nothing, they could only stare blankly.
Xiao Xing was very skilled at drawing out memories. She gave Bai Moqing a look, telling her to go home with Feiyue, then turned and drew away An Huaigu and Tang Yue’s memories.
A faint white light glowed at her fingertips. An Huaigu and Tang Yue slowly closed their eyes and fell asleep on their desks.
Passing through darkness, Bai Moqing’s divine sense entered Yun Su’s Divine Terrace. The vast Divine Terrace was like a sea, glowing with faint gold. Yun Su floated in midair, hands folded over her abdomen, as if asleep.
Yun Su’s true body was a flood dragon, but the aura surrounding her no longer held any flood dragon state. Just as Bai Moqing was wondering about this, someone suddenly appeared beside her.
She turned and saw that Xiao Xing had also entered Yun Su’s Divine Terrace.
Xiao Xing looked around, then finally fixed her gaze on Yun Su. Seeing that Yun Su’s restrained aura contained dragon breath, Xiao Xing held Bai Moqing’s wrist and brought her out of Yun Su’s Divine Terrace.
Feiyue, who had been sitting at the edge of the bed and staring at them, sprang to her feet when she saw Bai Moqing and Xiao Xing open their eyes. “Did you find out what happened to Yun Yun?”
She looked at Bai Moqing, then at Xiao Xing. Could someone give her an answer?
Xiao Xing bent over and lifted Yun Su’s eyelid. At the center of the black eye was a faint golden light, the same as the glow in her Divine Terrace. Xiao Xing straightened and said, “There is true dragon aura inside Yun Su. She is no longer a flood dragon. She is unconscious because she is waiting for the right time.”
Bai Moqing did not understand what Xiao Xing meant. Xiao Xing smiled and told her, “Dragons are born according to the appointed time and perish according to calamity. There is a proper hour for it.”
Feiyue only half understood, but as long as Yun Su was all right, she felt relieved.
Born according to the appointed time. Bai Moqing thought over those words and suddenly remembered the Eleventh Heaven Sikou Yan had mentioned.
After Yun Su became a true dragon, could she go to the unheard-of Eleventh Heaven?
