The Demon Venerable Is Delicate and Charming (GL) Chapter 84

Chapter 84

Li Lingjiang and Yin Wu were brought before the elders. The four traveling with them had also been chosen. Among the few selected people, their group seemed to have been marked. Not one had been missed.
“Everyone here is a disciple with potential. The elders personally chose you.” Someone introduced with a smiling face. “We hope that in the future, we will all help the Immortal-Entering Sect’s future together.”
The people around Li Lingjiang grew excited. She swept her gaze around without leaving a trace, then raised her eyes toward the people seated high above. With only one glance, something strange happened. The familiarity rising in her heart nearly drowned her, carrying a suffocation she could not refuse.
She frowned. The other person was a gentle and refined-looking man. It was clear his strength was not ordinary. His brows and eyes were soft, a face easy to approach. Yet she could not help showing a little resistance.
Li Lingjiang instinctively looked at Yin Wu. The young immortal was frowning toward one place, thoughts unknown. Li Lingjiang touched the back of Yin Wu’s hand.
Yin Wu gripped Li Lingjiang’s hand tightly, not allowing her to pull away at all. Her gaze locked on the man walking down, and a trace of sharpness flashed in her eyes.
Like it, but also not like it.
Everyone here had been stained with its aura. It was skilled at hiding, and even Yin Wu could not break through that concealment. She did not know whether its true body was here, or whether it had only remained here before.
“Your name is Li Tong?” The man stopped before Li Lingjiang. Seeing the two holding hands, his gaze turned playful. “Are you willing to enter my Fa Sect? I am Duan Wuxiu. The spells I study belong to the demon clan’s line.”
Duan Wuxiu placed both hands behind his back. “In the Immortal-Entering Sect, as long as one’s strength is powerful, one does not need to stick to one path of cultivation. As long as one does not harm heaven and justice, it is the righteous path!”
He looked straight at Li Lingjiang. “I think you are very suited.”
His words seemed to stir a response from many people. Even the elders urged her. Li Lingjiang met Duan Wuxiu’s gaze. Her waist and spine were straight. Listening to the noisy voices around her, her hidden beast ears bent down impatiently. She quietly slowed her breath, gave a light laugh, and calmly agreed. “All right.”
Duan Wuxiu was very satisfied with her attitude. He turned his gaze to Yin Wu beside her. “I know the relationship between you two is not ordinary. Here, you need not hide it. I can arrange for you to stay in one room. Would this one be willing?”
Yin Wu did not look at him. Her gaze rested on Li Lingjiang’s side profile. Her tone softened. “Of course I am willing.”
Only after the final sound fell did she turn to meet Duan Wuxiu’s eyes. Suddenly, she curved her lips. Her brows and eyes were full of unruliness. “Thank you.”
Duan Wuxiu did not seem to mind Yin Wu’s rudeness. He was very happy and picked two more people, carefully avoiding Ling Xin and the others. The selection process went quickly. The elders did not fight over disciples and were unusually peaceful.
“All right. Since everyone has been assigned, go familiarize yourselves with your rooms. Someone will lead you there. Once the other disciples are chosen, unified teaching will begin. Lunch is coming soon, so remember to go quickly.” The speaker was the disciple in charge of arrangements. They did not know his name, only his title, Fifteen.
Fifteen’s final sentence made Li Lingjiang slightly suspicious. She tightened her hold on Yin Wu’s hand and walked out of the hall with her. As he had said, before long they met a disciple who would bring them to their residence. Ling Xin naturally brushed against her for a moment, then quickly moved away. Their eyes did not meet even once.
Duan Wuxiu’s territory was very large. Li Lingjiang lifted her head slightly and looked at the words carved into the huge boundary stone: Fa Sect.
For a person who cultivated demon spells, he had chosen a name that did not seem to match.
The guiding disciple did not say much. Most of his words were official descriptions of the scenery along the road. The others beside them, however, were so excited they were nearly crying. Yin Wu watched them for a while, then suddenly patted Li Lingjiang’s hand.
“Look at me.” Yin Wu leaned her head over.
Li Lingjiang turned in confusion and saw the young immortal with red eyes, staring tearfully at her as if she had suffered a great grievance. Even the emotion was perfectly held.
Li Lingjiang was silent.
“So you normally lie to me?” Li Lingjiang smiled as she wiped the moisture from the corner of Yin Wu’s eye. “Crying as soon as you want to. That is quite a skill.”
Yin Wu unhappily grabbed her hand and pulled it down. She bent the corner of her mouth and stared straight at Li Lingjiang, clearly seeing the smile in the other woman’s eyes. “I knew you were teasing me. When I cried before, it was all true feeling. This time was only an extra-long performance.”
Li Lingjiang said, “Mm. Yes.”
The young immortal became displeased. Her mood grew even gloomier, and she sulked alone for a long while. In the end, only after Li Lingjiang softly coaxed her a few times did she recover. Then she held Li Lingjiang and refused to let go, not caring what others saw.
Li Lingjiang told her to release her because it looked improper. Yin Wu answered with full confidence, “What is wrong with hugging my partner? They are just jealous.”
One sentence left Li Lingjiang with nothing to say, so she let Yin Wu handle her as she pleased.
“Junior Sisters, this is the place Master assigned to you. Everything inside has already been prepared. If you need anything, you can call me. I will be nearby.”
Li Lingjiang nodded. “Thank you.”
The other person bowed slightly too, and his footsteps clearly grew much quicker as he left.
Li Lingjiang raised a brow and looked at the residence. It was almost an independent small courtyard. There were two rooms, even a study and kitchen, all with quite a bit of space. It was clear Duan Wuxiu was generous.
Yin Wu casually wiped a surface and rubbed her fingers together. “This place was cleaned very well.”
“Mm.” Li Lingjiang answered. She sat in a chair and pinched the bridge of her nose. “This place feels stranger and stranger to me.”
Yin Wu leaned against the door. Her eyes were lowered, and her tone was dark. “What?”
Li Lingjiang sighed lightly. “Especially when I reached the main hall and faced those elders, I felt it was familiar. My heartbeat was also very abnormal. I even felt a desire to submit.”
She frowned and briefly closed her eyes. “What do you think?”
Yin Wu drew circles on the floor with her toe without rhythm. One hand was behind her back, fingers twisting red thread. “What can I think?”
She laughed soundlessly. “Naturally, whatever blocks us, I block it.”
Yin Wu suddenly spoke. “My Lord.”
Li Lingjiang looked over. “Mm?”
“Will you leave me?” Yin Wu slowly walked over. A large shadow covered Li Lingjiang’s eyes. The sunlight outside was bright, but the atmosphere inside the room turned strange.
Li Lingjiang lifted her head. Her throat moved as she swallowed. In this matter, the young immortal always showed a forceful side, whether pinching her neck or tying her up.
After the kiss ended, Li Lingjiang rested against Yin Wu’s forehead. Her breathing was disordered. “Why ask that?”
Yin Wu laughed lowly, but the smile did not reach her eyes. It was more like the silence before a storm. “When you feel that way, do you want to follow them?”
“Hm? My Lord, answer me, all right?” Yin Wu’s hand slid up along Li Lingjiang’s chest until it reached her neck, loosely circling it.
Li Lingjiang looked up at her, eyes holding confusion. “Why would I follow them? I do have an impulse I cannot explain, but I can control myself completely.”
Her hand held Yin Wu’s wrist. “What do you mean by that?”
Yin Wu suddenly used force and made Li Lingjiang lift her head. She bent down and kissed her. Her hands moved to both sides, lifting the person before her and pressing her against the door as she kissed her, as if making a mark. Amid their abandon, the marks belonging to Yin Wu lit silently, their glow deeper than before.
Complex spell lines densely climbed over Li Lingjiang’s arms, lower abdomen, and back, then quietly hid again.
Li Lingjiang was kissed until she could not resist at all. She hit Yin Wu’s shoulder, not very hard, only making Yin Wu lift her higher and causing Li Lingjiang to let out a low sound.
The first ones unable to stand it were the two dragons caught between them. Little Black and Little White struggled to squeeze half their bodies out, panting with their tongues out. The two dragons looked at each other and saw bitterness in both pairs of eyes.
The dragons did not want to listen.
The dragons did not want to watch.
But there was no way.
While the black and white dragons were still sighing over their tragic lives, Yin Wu grabbed them and threw them straight out. Little Black and Little White stared in midair. The moment they landed, clothes were thrown over them, covering their eyes in darkness.
The dragons were silent.
Unfortunately, just as Li Lingjiang was placed on the bed and was about to struggle free, the door was knocked. “Junior Sisters, these are our Fa Sect uniforms. See if they fit?”
Li Lingjiang took the chance to break free from Yin Wu’s hand around her ankle. She glared angrily at the young immortal and scolded in a low voice, “I said no.”
Yin Wu lowered her head and calmed her emotions. She supported her forehead with one hand and closed her eyes. Only after a few seconds did she open them. “I could not hold back.”
She strode over. The door opened only a small crack, making it impossible to see the room clearly. Her clothes were not very messy, but her lips were much redder and more swollen. She lifted a smile. “Thank you, Senior Sister. Give them to me. They should fit.”
The other person nodded. She carefully studied Yin Wu’s state and felt something was wrong, but could not figure out why. After giving a few reminders, she left.
Seeing that the figure had gone far and could no longer be seen, Yin Wu immediately closed the door. She leaned against it and breathed heavily. Her head tilted back. Messy hair covered her shut eyes.
She had almost lost control. Those shameful thoughts had risen again. The emotions affected by that thing were all reflected onto Li Lingjiang. What exactly was she doing?
Li Lingjiang sat on the bed. She had put on her clothes and looked at Yin Wu without speaking. She bent one leg and buried her head. Only after a long while did she get off the bed and hug the young immortal. “Why? You still have not answered me.”
Yin Wu hugged her back with much greater force. Though her voice carried a sob, it was fiercer and more intimidating than usual. “My Lord, I cannot leave you.”
“So,” Yin Wu sighed softly, “you cannot abandon me either. I will be angry.”
