After Feigning Amnesia, My Sworn Enemy Takes Revenge Chapter 36

The Curtain Rises, The Show Begins

“You, you dare to injure someone!”
The disciple clutched her bleeding arm, unable to bear the pain, and roared, “I, I’m going to tell Master and the Sect Leader, and make her punish you!”
Yue Jin was puzzled. She hadn’t done anything, so how did this end up blamed on her?
The two people huddled close together, wary of her leaving, leaving only her standing in place.
Leaves rustled, falling onto the courtyard corridor. A light breeze brushed past. Yue Jin turned back to look.
She saw nothing.
Fu Lingyi had left there long ago.
She couldn’t control her pounding heart, like a spiritual beast excitedly thrashing inside her chest, wanting to break free from its confines.
Was this hatred or love? She could no longer tell.
She had told herself that once everything was over, this person would have nothing more to do with her.
She would just follow her secretly, preventing demonic cultivators from harming Yaoguang Pavilion.
That was all, absolutely no other thoughts.
But she never expected that Fu Lingyi would actually step forward for her.
Does this mean that she actually cared about the little time they spent together?
Does this mean…
Her heart was originally dead, but because of this, it had found new life.
Fu Lingyi raised her head. In her green robe, her figure was tall and slender, her hair flowing down like clouds, allowing falling leaves to brush past her cheek.
She stretched out her hand and slowly touched her chest.
Pulling at her robe, her right hand clenched into a fist.
Hatred was the thorns piercing flesh and blood, while love was the exquisite flower growing from bone-chilling pain.
Although Ye Wenzhen was tied up on her side, she still issued orders, kicking awake a disciple who had fainted nearby, telling her to go inform the cultivation tabloid to take down the rumors about Fu Lingyi.
Shan Shi shot an arrow three inches in front of her on the ground. “When you go out, remember what you should and shouldn’t say.”
Then, she made a gesture across her neck.
That disciple was so frightened she fled in a panic.
Wu Ju sat cross-legged, tall grass in front of her. She closed her eyes. “It’s time.”
“Did you figure anything out?” Eyin asked curiously.
“Heavenly secrets must not be revealed.”
E Yu: “…”
“Besides that, do you say anything else?”
“Yes,” Wu Ju smiled. “For example, guests have arrived.”
The hall doors were knocked upon.
Even though the person knocked politely, they essentially ignored the response from inside and the formation at the door, pushing the door open and entering.
Moonlight trailed along the beam of light into the hall. The person’s steps were steady and powerful, carrying profound spiritual energy and cultivation.
As for the situation inside, she merely raised her head slightly. “I was only away for a few days, and Yaoguang Pavilion was taken advantage of.”
“Ji, Ji Peilan…” Ye Wenzhen collapsed to the side, her eyes flickering with unconcealed joy.
“Sect Leader, I told you long ago to do less business and cultivate more.”
Ji Peilan raised her hand, and the vines on Ye Wenzhen snapped at her command, releasing her from all restraints.
Ye Wenzhen quickly retreated to a corner.
Shan Shi and Eyin took defensive stances, looking fierce.
Only Wu Ju let out a faint, almost imperceptible chuckle.
“Quite a few demonic cultivators have infiltrated the sect,” she counted casually. “One, two, three. Plus the one I just caught.”
Shan Shi and Eyin exchanged glances. Could Wu Bei have been captured?
“Bring them in.”
The hall’s candles lit themselves, illuminating the place brightly. Dozens of disciples rushed in, the two disciples leading the way escorting a person.
It was Yue Jin, whose illusion had been broken.
Shan Shi and Eyin’s eyes widened instantly. They moved extremely fast, shooting two arrows that wounded the two people escorting her, one on the left and one on the right. The Soul Guarding Bell echoed through the hall, freezing everyone in place.
But it couldn’t stop Ji Peilan.
She gripped the arrow flying towards her with one hand, snapped it off, and tossed it aside. She watched as the two took Yue Jin and hid behind Wu Ju.
“Master, Master, what happened to you?” Yue Jin was still unconscious. Eyin was almost in tears, shaking her frantically.
Shan Shi also looked worried.
“Listen up, everyone! This person was sneaking around in my Yaoguang Pavilion, attempting to gather information, and even tried to steal this again!”
Ji Peilan threw the knife she had been hiding behind her back into the center, causing onlookers to gasp.
It was the murder weapon.
“Nonsense! You’re spouting garbage…”
“How can you prove she stole it? Your word alone is probably not enough to convince people.” Shan Shi stopped Eyin’s outburst, calming down and responding steadily.
This action earned her a high regard from Wu Ju.
“Hmph, isn’t being acquainted with this bunch of thieves enough?” Ji Peilan sneered. “Sect Leader, go and recognize her. Who is this person?”
Ye Wenzhen stood up. She looked at Yue Jin several times from a distance, and was fiercely glared at by Eyin. “This is… the demonic cultivator who came with Fu Lingyi a few days ago. No wonder you asked me to remove the section from the cultivation tabloid! So it was for her!”
With this statement, Ji Peilan’s words were confirmed. The disciples of Yaoguang Pavilion all turned outwards, demanding that these few demonic cultivators who disrespected the Sect Leader be executed on the spot.
“No need for an interrogation! They’re demonic cultivators! Kill them!”
“Along with Chongxiang Sword Sect , they should all be punished!”
“Hey, that person looks familiar, kind of… kind of like the Demon Lord…”
“Stop talking nonsense! Have you even seen the Demon Lord?”
“I really have! That person, really does look a bit like her!”
Amidst the commotion, Eyin held Yue Jin in her arms and asked, “Wu Ju, stop calculating, quickly think of something!”
“How about we break out?” Shan Shi crouched down, discussing secretly. “You take Master, and Eyin and I will cover the rear, buying you time.”
Wu Ju didn’t speak, just shook her head.
“That won’t work! Then what do you suggest? We don’t know what’s wrong with Master right now, dragging this out will definitely be dangerous!”
Shan Shi’s expression grew darker. She helped Yue Jin onto Eyin’s back and stepped forward with her bow. “Don’t mind her, we’ll go first.”
Ye Wenzhen thought, This is bad! “They want to run!”
Ye Yushuang and Yuan Pei rushed over at this moment, having just arrived. Before they could figure out the situation, they saw flames shooting through the hall. Ye Yushuang flicked her whip, caught an arrow about to shoot towards a disciple, dispersed its force, and threw it onto Yuan Pei.
Yuan Pei screamed, shaking off the flames several times.
“Mother!” Ye Yushuang was about to enter when she was stopped by a crisp ringing sound from a bell.
A dagger was placed across her neck.
“Let us go, or I’ll kill her.” Shan Shi applied force, and the tip of the dagger pressed into Ye Yushuang’s skin, drawing blood.
“No, no! Let her go, everyone move aside!” Ye Wenzhen was burning with anxiety. She waved her hands wildly, tears streaming from her eyes, directing all the disciples.
Eyin shifted Yue Jin further onto her back, glanced at Shan Shi, and walked straight towards the exit.
Yuan Pei didn’t dare move. The disciples scattered like a tide, blocking the azure moonlight at the exit, leaving only Ji Peilan standing there.
Eyin had no mood for smiling. “Get lost.”
“Ji Peilan, let them go first! Shuangshuang is still in their hands! Move aside first!” Ye Wenzhen was overcome with anxiety and anger, wishing she could rush over and pull Ji Peilan away.
“Today, not a single demonic cultivator will escape from here.”
The woman silhouetted against the light was tall, her eyes as deep as an abyss.
“Ye Yushuang, as a cultivator, are you unwilling to sacrifice yourself to eliminate evil for eternal peace?”
“What?” Ye Wenzhen was utterly shocked, not understanding what she meant.
“You’re crazy! That’s my daughter!”
“It seems even the Sect Leader lacks this awareness.”
Ji Peilan reached out and grabbed Eyin’s wrist, preventing her from shaking the bell further. Ye Yushuang took advantage of Shan Shi’s momentary stun, broke free, and rushed over to support Ye Wenzhen.
Ten arrows were instantly nocked onto the bowstring. Shan Shi changed direction, aiming at Ye Yushuang and Ye Wenzhen. “No one is allowed to stop us today! If you dare to interfere again, I will kill everyone here!”
Ye Yushuang tightened her grip on her whip, shielding her mother.
Eyin was grabbed and couldn’t move her hand. She had a sudden idea, directly letting go. The Soul Guarding Bell dropped from her palm and she kicked it up with the tip of her foot. Spiritual energy powered the bell’s ringing, changing from melodious to ear-piercing.
It made all the disciples want to cover their ears.
The sound was too close, and Ji Peilan released her grip in annoyance. Eyin, with Yue Jin on her back, darted away from the side.
Yuan Pei even moved aside, giving her space.
“Petty tricks.”
Ji Peilan spread her palm, and a long umbrella, as black as ink, expanded in her hand.
Opening the umbrella, it became immense. The wind accumulated inside, howling wildly, pressing Eyin and Yue Jin onto the ground, unable to get up.
Shan Shi drew her bowstring tautest. “You don’t want these two people’s lives anymore?!”
“Yaoguang Pavilion can still exist without a Sect Leader, but if evil deeds and evil disciples still exist in this world, then the Great Dao cannot endure.”
After saying this, Ji Peilan glanced at Ye Wenzhen slightly. “Sect Leader, forgive my offense.”
She clenched her right hand into a fist. The wind restrained Eyin.
Then, she made a pinching gesture outwards with her hand, her eyes narrowed. Yue Jin was lightly blown up, her hands dropping, and was quickly sucked towards Ji Peilan’s hand!
She wants to kill her directly!
“Don’t!”
People on both sides were shouting. Eyin lay on the ground, screaming hoarsely, heartbroken. Shan Shi’s face was full of tears. She gritted her teeth and directly released the string.
Ten arrows tore through the air, impossible to resist. Ye Wenzhen lunged forward, shielding Ye Yushuang.
Wu Ju remained seated as before, as if everything had nothing to do with her.
Dozens of long swords pierced through the hall ceiling, clashing with the arrows, cutting them cleanly in half.
On the other side, Yue Jin, who had flown halfway, was pulled by the arm and dragged away. Ji Peilan’s hand grasped empty air.
Everyone looked at the newcomer.
The person held Yue Jin under one arm, carrying her over their shoulder, and formed a hand seal with the other, directing the swords back.
“You made me look for a while. Yaoguang Pavilion’s layout needs changing. How can the main hall be hidden so far inside?”
“Who are you?” Ji Peilan, having been interrupted, was displeased and asked.
“This junior is a disciple under Venerable Yi Qing of Chongxiang Sword Sect , Yun Lingyue.”
Yun Lingyue walked further in, looked at Eyin and Shan Shi on the ground and in front of her, and sneered. “I finally found you two.”
After speaking, she turned to look at Ji Peilan. “Are you with them?”
“With who? Fellow cultivator, please be careful with your words,” Ji Peilan’s expression was unhappy. “I am the Great Elder of Yaoguang Pavilion, Ji…”
“Ah, ah, Elder Ji, my sincerest apologies. I saw you bullying our sect members, so I thought you were also a demonic cultivator.” Yun Lingyue didn’t want to listen at all, answering casually.
“Stop twisting words! That is a demonic…”
“However, why is Yue Jin here?” She didn’t pay attention to Ji Peilan, walking in on her own, looking at Shan Shi, who still held the bow, her face full of suspicion. “Besides Wu Bei, how many people from our Chongxiang Sword Sect have you two captured?”
Shan Shi: “…”
How was she supposed to explain that these two weren’t captured?
