After reading the security system materials provided by five companies, An Huaigu contacted one company that was not actually under consideration for purchase. She arranged a meeting in one hour and took Bai Moqing along to practice.
The two had just walked out of the office when Tang Yue immediately stood up. Her eyes seemed to hold a thousand words as she stared straight at An Huaigu.
The wound on Tang Yue’s lip was no longer bleeding, but it still looked a little swollen. An Huaigu glanced at it, then smiled and greeted Tang Yue first.
“Great Assistant Tang, Xiao Bai and I are going out for a while. We’ll be back this afternoon. If anything comes up while we’re gone, I’ll have to trouble Assistant Tang.” After a full week, this was the first time An Huaigu had spoken to Tang Yue on her own.

After the car drove out of the company gate, An Huaigu turned on some music and played a soothing song. She glanced at Bai Moqing in the passenger seat.
“What’s wrong? You’ve looked troubled ever since you got in the car.”
Bai Moqing turned her head. “Sister An, I want to resign.”
As soon as the word “resign” left her mouth, the sharp sound of braking rang out. An Huaigu stepped on the brake and pulled over at the roadside. Her expression did not look good as she stared at Bai Moqing.
“You want to resign? Why? Am I not good enough to you, or is the salary too low for you?”
Her mood had only just improved a little, and now Bai Moqing had knocked it back down to the bottom.
“You’re very good to me…” Bai Moqing had only said half a sentence when An Huaigu immediately continued.
“Then it’s because the salary is too low?”
“It’s not because of the salary.” Bai Moqing could not tell An Huaigu the real reason. She sighed. Seeing the confused, questioning look in An Huaigu’s eyes, she changed her words. “I just said it casually. Sister An, don’t take it to heart.”

She buckled her seat belt and turned to Bai Moqing. “Xiao Bai, there’s no need to resign for me. Stay properly in the company. Unless you leave for better pay, stay here all along.”
Bai Moqing hesitated for a while, then nodded. “All right.” For President Xiao’s sake, she also could not leave this place lightly.
“Promise you won’t leave?”
“I promise.”
An Huaigu was finally relieved. She turned the key, released the handbrake, and sped off with one step on the gas.
The car was very fast. Only after they reached the main road did the endless traffic force her to slow down.
The car was quiet the whole time. Bai Moqing’s phone vibrated. After seeing the text, she glanced at An Huaigu. Five minutes after the car continued forward, Bai Moqing suddenly mentioned Tang Yue.
“Sister An, Assistant Tang’s lip is split…”

When these rumors reached Wen Xiuming’s ears, Wen Xiuming coldly told the young women to shut their mouths and stop spreading false news that might stir up disorder in the company.
Once he entered his private office, however, Wen Xiuming instantly had another face. The gossiping excitement on his face was no less than that of those young women.
“Little sister, your brother has a question.” With both legs propped on the desk, Wen Xiuming covered his mouth and asked Wen Rushui in a low voice, “Is Assistant An’s relationship with Secretary Bai not ordinary?”

Xiao Xing walked into their office. Her gaze stopped on the wound on Tang Yue’s lip for several seconds, then moved to Wen Rushui. Expressionless, she looked at her.
“Repeat what you just said.”
Wen Rushui swallowed and did not dare speak. Xiao Xing’s eyes turned cold. Wen Rushui’s small heart trembled, and she stammered, “At your age, are you still a virgin?”
As soon as the words came out, Secretary Wang’s face darkened like a block of ink. She wanted to go up and stab this bastard Wen Rushui for calling her a virgin for no reason.
“Not that line. The part about An Huaigu and Bai Moqing. What happened to them?”
Secretary Wen felt that her career was about to end. Under President Xiao’s pressing force, she forced herself to tell President Xiao those unbearable rumors.

At three in the afternoon, An Huaigu and Bai Moqing returned to the company. When they went upstairs, they ran into several coworkers in the elevator. The looks those coworkers gave them were strange. An Huaigu could not help frowning. Had something happened in the company?
When they reached the top floor and passed Wen Rushui’s office, Wen Rushui saw them and shot out of the office in one quick step. She opened her mouth, said nothing, and returned to the office again.
Seeing the main figure in the gossip return, Tang Yue called out to Bai Moqing.
“Xiao Bai, go to President Xiao’s office. She’s waiting for you.”
Before Bai Moqing went in, Tang Yue kindly reminded her, “Be careful. Don’t say the wrong thing.”
