Senior Sister Went Mad After My Fake Death Chapter 6

Flicking its Tongue

Jiang Chunai’s daily routine remained unchanged. The events of that day seemed to have been just a minor accident.
She still went to the sword hall to guide her fellow disciples and was deeply respected by them.
Immortal Lord Yang Nian had several disciples with profound cultivation. Jiang Chunai was one of them, and also the only one who would frequently come to the sword hall to instruct other cultivators.
Despite what had happened in the secret realm, this activity of hers was not affected in the slightest.
“Take this!” A very young-looking female cultivator lunged with her sword, her face red with effort. After a few moves, she was panting for breath.
The one sparring with her was none other than Jiang Chunai.
The female cultivator looked as if she had already exhausted all her strength, holding nothing back in her strikes, hoping only to last a few more rounds against Jiang Chunai.
Yet Jiang Chunai appeared completely at ease with every move, as if she could handle several more opponents without breaking a sweat.
With a clang, the female cultivator was unexpectedly caught off guard as a streak of white sword energy swept toward her. It flashed so brightly that she shut her eyes and her grip loosened. In the next instant, the pommel of the Snow Camellia Sword was resting against her neck—
The onlookers gasped. Even the female cultivator herself held her breath in disbelief.
The Snow Camellia was a divine weapon; cutting through iron like mud was its most basic feature. It was said that their master, Immortal Lord Yang Nian, had used it to slay countless demons. After gifting the sword to Senior Sister Jiang Chunai, she too had used it to travel the world and eliminate many evils.
The moment the Snow Camellia’s pommel touched the female cultivator’s neck, Jiang Chunai abruptly withdrew the sword, her face still holding a smile as warm as a spring breeze.
“Junior Sister, you’ve improved since last time. However, there’s a big problem with your twenty-fourth move. You must think ahead when you raise your sword,” Jiang Chunai said with a gentle smile.
A great weight lifted from the hearts of everyone present, and a sense of understanding settled in.
Senior Sister Jiang Chunai’s temperament was simply too good. The final move of the sword form she was teaching today ended with placing the sword at the neck—a very practical move when facing demons, capable of taking a life in an instant.
But how could Senior Sister Jiang possibly use it on a fellow disciple? Especially since this female cultivator was also a disciple of Immortal Lord Yang Nian.
The female cultivator was still in a state of shock. Only after Jiang Chunai had retracted her sword and spoken did she stammer her thanks, “Ah, th-thank you, Senior Sister Jiang!”
Jiang Chunai smiled and waved her hand. “You and I are fellow disciples. Besides, I am your senior sister. This is what I should do.”
Though it was called sword hall guidance, the two of them were currently practicing in an open area outside.
The sun warmed their bodies, and its golden rays illuminated Jiang Chunai’s smile.
Her light-colored, glass-like pupils shone with a brilliant light, holding both the lushness of early spring and the clarity of high summer in their curved depths.
Senior Sister Jiang Chunai is so beautiful when she smiles, just like a little sun.
Unconsciously, a crimson blush crept up the female cultivator’s ears. She quickly followed her senior sister’s words, sheathed her sword, and hopped over to Jiang Chunai’s side like a little rabbit. “Then I’ll have to ask for more guidance from Senior Sister in the future!”
Jiang Chunai replied, “Of course, no problem.”
After an invigorating training session, a rest was needed. The female cultivator, deeply moved by Jiang Chunai’s words and being naturally talkative, brought a few of her friends over to chatter around Jiang Chunai.
Jiang Chunai never held anything back, nor did she put on the airs of a “senior sister.” Whenever someone asked, she would teach them everything she knew.
When someone expressed interest in her sword technique, Jiang Chunai began to explain:
“This Purple Lightning Green Frost Sword Style was created by our master when she was twenty. Back then, the entire cultivation world called her a once-in-a-generation genius of sword cultivation…”
Although their master was gone, her legend lived on in the cultivation world.
Upon hearing this, a cultivator immediately lamented, “Yes, the Immortal Lord was a natural sword prodigy. It’s a pity she passed away so early.”
A discussion broke out among the group. After recounting the Immortal Lord’s glorious deeds, someone naturally asked why she had died.
“The Immortal Lord… once entered the Nether Realm. It’s said that a demon that hadn’t appeared in tens of thousands of years resides there… The hundred immortal sects spent a great deal of effort to seal that demon, and as the leader of the righteous path, the main responsibility of guarding it has always fallen to our Bright Snow Sect.”
“I think it was about a hundred years ago, there was a disturbance in the Nether Realm, and Immortal Lord Yang Nian went in to investigate. Her cultivation was damaged when she came out, right? Is that what happened?”
Jiang Chunai didn’t participate in their discussion, but some of the words were still quite piercing to her ears.
“Her cultivation being damaged is one thing, but the one who damaged it must have been that demon in the Nether Realm, right? Master believed in the righteous path her whole life and fought against demons and evils for a lifetime,” a cultivator sighed. “Our Bright Snow Sect, especially the disciples of Immortal Lord Yang Nian, must never spare any demons.”
By this time, Jiang Chunai had already sheathed her sword and was calmly wiping the Snow Camellia with a cloth. Coincidentally, her hand paused over the chip.
…The chip from that night’s collision.
“Hey, Senior Sister,” the junior sister who had just been asking for guidance sidled up at some point, her eyes shining with admiration. “You’re truly amazing! Ah, is this sword the Snow Camellia?”
Jiang Chunai flinched slightly. After a moment’s hesitation, she replied, “Yes, this sword is indeed the Snow Camellia.”
The junior sister’s gaze swept over the snow-white longsword with envy, but a strange detail soon caught her attention.
“Senior Sister, what is this chip? Master’s personal sword… isn’t it an indestructible divine weapon?”
Jiang Chunai froze. She casually covered the spot with the cleaning cloth and said with a faint expression, “Ah, I never noticed it before.”
Guiding her fellow disciples used to be a happy affair, but now Jiang Chunai couldn’t muster any enthusiasm at all.
She was just numbly repeating her old routine.
She didn’t leave the sword hall, but she quickly put her sword away.
One junior sister left, but another acquaintance arrived.
Yan Linglong peeked around the doorframe and, seeing that Jiang Chunai was free, came over to greet her.
“Oh, Linglong,” Jiang Chunai smiled.
Yan Linglong giggled. “Is Senior Sister Jiang guiding everyone in their practice today too? Did you just finish?”
She glanced at the Snow Camellia and saw it was already sheathed.
“Yes, I just finished,” Jiang Chunai said. Remembering what had happened before, she added, “Thank you for the other day.”
Yan Linglong waved her hand. “It was just a small effort, not worth mentioning! But I heard people say Senior Sister Chunai was teaching sword techniques, so I rushed over from Bell Tone Mountain!”
An undisguisable disappointment laced her words.
Bell Tone Mountain was another peak entirely; it took some effort to get here.
An idea sparked in Jiang Chunai’s mind. “Since you’re already here, I certainly won’t let you make the trip for nothing.”
Besides, if it weren’t for Yan Linglong last time, who knows where she would be now—either framed by that Xie family and sent to the mortal realm, or locked away in repentance on Reflection Cliff.
Having received her senior sister’s promise, Yan Linglong’s smile grew even brighter. “That’s great! I knew Senior Sister wouldn’t refuse me!”
Jiang Chunai drew the Snow Camellia again and had Yan Linglong get into position.
Yan Linglong was at an age where she couldn’t keep things to herself, and she immediately started chattering—
“I heard that among the sword styles created by Immortal Lord Yang Nian, Senior Sister Chunai and Senior Sister Han Xiao learned it the best! I wanted to ask Senior Sister Han Xiao some questions, but I was afraid she would think I don’t understand the Purple Lightning Green Frost Sword. And since you were teaching here, Senior Sister, I took the initiative to come and ask you for guidance!”
The hand Jiang Chunai was using to draw her sword paused, and the curve of her lips instantly froze.
“But, I still don’t know if Senior Sister Han Xiao likes people asking her questions, because I’ve never heard anyone say,” Yan Linglong was still vexed. She then asked Jiang Chunai, “By the way, Senior Sister, does Senior Sister Han Xiao like it when people ask her about the Purple Lightning Green Frost Sword?”
After all, they didn’t have the same master, and this sword style was the unique creation of the deceased Immortal Lord Yang Nian.
It would be normal for a disciple to be possessive of it.
But Jiang Chunai just drew the Snow Camellia, her tone betraying no emotion. “That, I’m not sure about.”
“Oh, it’s alright! Then Senior Sister Chunai can just teach me a move or two!” The anxiety on Yan Linglong’s face vanished. “Then I’ll go show it to Senior Sister Han Xiao, and I’ll come back and tell you what she says!”
Jiang Chunai’s heart suddenly sank.
“Let’s start then. The sun is about to set,” she reminded her.
Guiding sword practice was hard work. That night, as Jiang Chunai lay in bed, she felt sore all over and saw stars before her eyes.
How strange. Based on the skill level of the cultivators today, not a single one of them should have been a challenge for her, let alone caused such severe after-effects.
But then things took a turn.
Gradually, the stars before Jiang Chunai’s eyes transformed, in a strange, eerie blue light, into decadent tulips.
That strange, eerie blue was identical to the light in the Ice Soul Secret Realm. In that case, should a similar fox tail appear?
After so many years of slaying demons and defending the righteous path, Jiang Chunai had barely heard the normal cry of a fox. So when she heard a “hissing” sound now, she was momentarily surprised.
Has the fox come?
For some reason, she missed that fox’s snow-white tail.
She prayed that she wouldn’t encounter her master in her dreams today. She was afraid her master would blame her for letting the fox demon go.
As the “hissing” sound grew closer, Jiang Chunai realized that it didn’t sound like a fox at all, but… a snake.
Under the same eerie and strange blue light as that night, Jiang Chunai looked down and saw the fine, crimson-black lines on her wrist, their color now even deeper.
She looked up and saw that the decadent tulips before her had taken on the same appearance:
Deep pink, swollen bulbs, growing ever more vivid and full, yearning in the silence for someone to squeeze out their impure juices.
At some point, she felt her ankle become trapped. A snake’s tail lightly wrapped around her soft body, its chill sweeping over every inch of her snow-white skin.
Whether the golden light was from the decadent flowers, the impure juices, or the shimmering scales, Jiang Chunai could no longer tell.
As the unbearable tide of passion threatened to swallow her, she couldn’t distinguish anything.
Senior Sister is a demon, so… the demon is Senior Sister.
It didn’t seem right, but she accepted it calmly.
Once the Passion Lure was planted, it was impossible to remove unless its demands were met. Using illusions to relieve herself like this was likely just the beginning.
A snake hissed, flicking its tongue.
Aphrodisiac saliva dripped down, the advance growing warmer:
“Open up.”
