Tangtang, Tangtang, wake up quickly!
If you don’t wake up, the female lead will be in danger!
“What is it?” Luo Tangtang mumbled, rolling over and burying her face in the soft brocade quilt.
She only felt her consciousness sinking, her whole body feeling as if it were floating weightlessly in mid-air.
“Where is this?”
The scene suddenly shifted. Luo Tangtang stared blankly at her surroundings – a pitch-black expanse, cold and damp, without light. The air was filled with a fishy, pungent smell of decay.
Is this the Punishment Hall? Luo Tangtang looked at the walls on either side, completely black, with glittering torture implements hanging on them. She couldn’t help but guess.
“Hiss!” Luo Tangtang shivered. She hugged herself, System, where are you?
Come out, stop playing dead.
The air in the corridor was eerily silent. Seeing that the system didn’t respond, Luo Tangtang had no choice but to walk slowly forward with growing confusion. When she reached the end and saw the scene before her eyes, her pupils shrank.
“Yun Shayi?”
“Ah—!” A scream pierced the sky. Luo Tangtang woke up with a start, sitting bolt upright, her eyes filled with panic and terror.
Dawn had already broken. Luo Tangtang lifted her hand to her forehead; a thin layer of cold sweat had formed. She tightly closed her eyes, breathing deeply to calm her violently heaving chest. “What’s going on?”
Luo Tangtang asked the System; she had seen Yun Shayi at the end of the corridor.
Luo Tangtang’s expression became complicated; she felt a dull ache in her chest. She had seen Yun Shayi’s white robe soaked through with blood, pouring onto the ground in streams. Her lungs had been pierced, her limbs bound, and she was nailed directly to the wall.
Yun Shayi raised her eyes and simply looked at her like that, her eyes dark and sorrowful.
If you don’t get up now, Yun Shayi will suffer the same fate as in your dream.
I couldn’t wake you up no matter what I did.
“Shut up!”
Luo Tangtang gritted her teeth, saying word by word, “Tell me where she is quickly.”
When Luo Tangtang arrived, she saw Yun Shayi kneeling straight on the ground and Moyu, who was tightly bound.
“Sect Leader, Esteemed Elders!”
“Junior Sister.”
Seeing Luo Tangtang arrive, Yun Shayi’s long eyelashes fluttered.
She spoke indifferently, without any emotion, “It doesn’t concern you. Go back.”
“It’s alright,” Luo Tangtang answered irrelevantly. She looked at Yun Shayi seriously, her eyes filled with determination.
Luo Tangtang also knew her place. She composed her expression and knelt down, bowing to the person standing high up to the side.
“Rise!” Sect Leader Qi Shuoyue, seated in the center of the hall, waved his hand, signaling her to get up.
“Oh! Another accomplice has arrived!” Seeing Luo Tangtang, Moyu’s eyes flashed with cold light. His tone was mocking and filled with sinister malice.
“Luo Tangtang, Moyu says you and Yun Shayi are spies for the Monster race.”
“Master,” Luo Tangtang respectfully said, looking at the gloomy young man in front of her whose face showed disdain.
This was the original host’s master, one of the seven great Venerables of the Supreme Immortal Sect—Zhi Yu.
“How could that be?” Luo Tangtang blinked innocently. Her eyes glanced at Moyu, who was tied up like a dead pig on the side. “Isn’t the real spy already revealed?”
“Hmph,” Zhi Yu sneered, his eyes sharp. “That’s true.”
“Then why did Moyu say he found a token from the Demon Lord on Junior Niece Yun?”
It was the gray-robed Elder who had initially captured Moyu—Zhi Li. His eagle-like eyes stared intently at Luo Tangtang, as if trying to discern the truth.
Luo Tangtang didn’t show fear and met Zhi Li’s gaze very seriously. ” Perhaps he was jealous that the Demon Lord is born a true dragon, stole the Demon Lord’s token, and framed her.”
The book said that when Yun Shayi went to the demon realm on her master’s orders to investigate and saved the Demon Lord, who liked to disguise himself as a mortal and possibly suffered from Stockholm Syndrome, the Demon Lord gave her the token. The female lead didn’t know.
“What did you say? I’ll kill you!”
As soon as Luo Tangtang finished speaking, Moyu on the side instantly became furious.
Luo Tangtang calmly glanced at him, then slowly took a step back, moving further away from Moyu.
“I’ll make you die.” Perhaps Luo Tangtang’s disdainful attitude angered him, Moyu’s emotions became even more agitated, and the scales that had been suppressed on his face reappeared.
“Presumptuous demon! How dare you act wildly in the Sect Leader’s Hall of Affairs!”
Zhi Li angrily shouted. He flicked the fly whisk in his hand, and Moyu was fiercely sent flying into the wall on the side.
“What exactly is going on here?” Qi Shuoyue frowned, looking at Luo Tangtang with some confusion.
Luo Tangtang immediately replied unhurriedly, “Yesterday, I happened to pass by Lotus Summit Mountain and saw Senior Brother Moyu, who had lost control.”
“In my panic, disciple hastily fled with Senior Sister Yun. I accidentally spilled some Realgar powder used to repel snakes.”
Luo Tangtang paused here, then a trace of lingering fear flashed appropriately in her eyes. “It’s likely that Senior Brother Moyu… the spy was exposed because of this and held a grudge.”
“You actually dare to mention it! I am a dragon, a dragon!”
“You actually dare to say I’m that kind of lowly creature! And say I’m jealous of that beastly Demon Lord!” Moyu on the side, hearing Luo Tangtang’s words, roared loudly despite the blood spilling from his mouth.
His expression became distorted and crazed because of this, looking exceptionally terrifying.
Luo Tangtang acted as if she was startled. She shrank her neck, feeling a bit wronged. “Aren’t they all the same? They’re all just worms.”
“You—!” A black mist suddenly appeared on Moyu’s face. Huge demonic energy surged continuously from his body. In just an instant, the Immortal Binding Rope on him corroded away.
Luo Tangtang only saw a hideous head with a single horn on its forehead rushing towards her.
“Junior Sister, be careful.”
In a trance, Luo Tangtang seemed to hear Yun Shayi’s slightly hurried tone.
However, before the head could get within a meter of her, a massive surge of spiritual power struck.
“Boom!” Moyu was once again slammed fiercely onto the ground.
Zhi Yu grinned evilly, his tone flat, “Do you really think this Venerable is just for show?”
Dust billowed. Yun Shayi took a few steps to Luo Tangtang’s front, carefully observing her. Seeing that she was alright, the worry she had been holding onto finally eased.
“Cough cough.” Luo Tangtang had swallowed some dust. She waved her hand to disperse the dust cloud in front of her eyes. Seeing the thing lying on the ground, her voice became sharp with surprise. “Human-snake?”
Then she whispered, “Only one horn on its head. At most, it’s just a flood dragon. How dare it say it’s a dragon.”
Everyone: “…”
Zhi Yu glanced at her. “You should probably speak less!”
Luo Tangtang quickly nodded.
“Luo Tangtang is the demon spy! You will regret this someday!”
Moyu lay on the ground. Thanks to the demon race’s sturdy bones, he still managed to forcefully utter this sentence at this moment.
Hearing this, Yun Shayi frowned. Her tone was icy cold. “As her senior sister, I certainly know whether Junior Sister is a spy or not. I just don’t know how you managed to replace the real one and frame her.”
Luo Tangtang’s face also darkened. “Shameless snake.”
Her red lips slightly parted as she spat out these words, then she slowly forced out a brilliant smile towards Moyu. “Dead long thing.”
“Sect Leader, the real Senior Brother Moyu was likely already harmed by this venomous snake’s sinister hand. He’s still trying to smear me and Senior Sister Yun now. He definitely has ill intentions.”
After provoking Moyu, Luo Tangtang instantly turned her head and spoke seriously to the Sect Leader.
“Hmm, that makes sense.” Qi Shuoyue nodded thoughtfully. “Then let’s leave it to Zhi Sheng!”
Zhi Sheng was in charge of the Supreme Immortal Sect’s punishments. Facing death, desiring life while dying – it was the cruelest of the seven torments.
Luo Tangtang, however, felt no softness. “Yes, especially since spring has arrived, this fellow is in heat. He needs to be properly locked up so he doesn’t go around harming people.”
“Haha.” Someone in the hall suddenly laughed awkwardly.
“Luo—Tang—Tang!” Moyu gritted his teeth fiercely.
“To be safe, perhaps it’s better to castrate him first!” Luo Tangtang added.
“Hiss!” Gasps of indrawn breath rose and fell throughout the hall.
Yun Shayi stepped forward and lightly tugged at Luo Tangtang’s sleeve, saying softly, “Junior Sister, you mustn’t speak like that.”
“I was just playing!” Luo Tangtang smiled sweetly and shrugged.
“You—” Instantly, Moyu’s body trembled violently a few times. He tightly closed his mouth, his eyes filled with terror.
“Alright,” Zhi Yu glanced at Luo Tangtang indifferently. “Since things are clear, we should leave, shouldn’t we?”
“Esteemed Junior Brothers, feel free,” Qi Shuoyue smiled faintly and nodded.
“Mhmm,” Zhi Yu lightly lifted his tense jawline. His gaze landed on Luo Tangtang. “Aren’t you coming back with me?”
“Okay, okay.” Luo Tangtang glanced at Yun Shayi in front of her and quickly followed Zhi Yu’s steps to leave.
…
Xunyang Peak
Luo Tangtang closely followed Zhi Yu into the main hall.
“Kneel!”
“Master—!”
“Boom!” Luo Tangtang’s address “Master” was stuck in her throat and hadn’t even come out when Zhi Yu struck her with a palm, sending her rolling onto the ground.
System detected, situation requires, automatically activating Actor mode.
“Master!” Luo Tangtang’s eyes widened, filled with disbelief. Her body trembled violently, and her face instantly turned pale.
Zhi Yu’s plain-colored robe appeared before her eyes. “Who told you to help Yun Shayi?”
His face was icy cold as he stared chillingly at Luo Tangtang, who was kneeling on the ground. “Didn’t you know I wanted her dead?”
“And why did you protect her?”
“Also Moyu, what was going on with him?”
Luo Tangtang clenched her hands tightly. For some reason, her heart felt somewhat desolate. It was for Yun Shayi.
That woman, from childhood to adulthood, everyone around her told her to uphold justice, unaware that each of them harbored unspeakable dirty thoughts in their hearts. Everyone, openly and secretly, wanted to drag her into the abyss.
“Moyu gave Yun Shayi an aphrodisiac,” a hoarse voice came from Luo Tangtang’s mouth.
“Disciple accompanied her for a night.”
“An aphrodisiac?” A ripple flashed in Zhi Yu’s calm eyes. His voice slightly elongated, hiding a mysterious emotion within.
“You accompanied her?”
Zhi Yu raised his eyebrows again in surprise, a hint of a smile on his face.
“Yes!”
Luo Tangtang nodded expressionlessly, a flash of ruthlessness in her eyes. “I felt that although Moyu is an idiot, keeping him around would sooner or later harm the sect.”
“Besides, Yun Shayi trusts me greatly now.”
Luo Tangtang calmly delivered her lines.
In her mind, text appeared on the System’s large screen, it was precisely what Luo Tangtang had just said.
Clear footsteps echoed repeatedly. Zhi Yu slowly paced back and forth.
After an unknown amount of time, he stopped. “Watch Yun Shayi closely for me. I don’t care what method you use, make her completely devoted to you.”
“Also—”
Zhi Yu’s voice paused. After a moment, he slowly opened his mouth, “Help me get a copy of that aphrodisiac!”
