Fallen God Island
The floating island, which had remained unchanged for tens of thousands of years, suddenly trembled violently. Sharp cries of flying beasts and demonic beasts mixed together, and dark shadows constantly drifted by.
“What’s happening?” Hua Ziyun furrowed her beautiful brows. Her face, usually full of smiles and charm, also showed a hint of solemnity.
“The Extreme North Realm is probably collapsing,” Zhi He stood by, quietly watching the space above shatter and twist, scattering crystalline fragments.
“Hey, aren’t you worried? It’s not just fresh bloodlines from the Demonic Realm in the secret realm, but your righteous path people too?”
“Why are you so calm?” Hua Ziyun asked curiously.
“If you’re worried, you can go in and save them!” Zhi He glanced at her, saying coolly.
Hua Ziyun’s face stiffened, her lovely face slightly cold, and she angrily shouted, “Dead bald donkey, there’s no talking to you!”
At that moment, people scattered everywhere seemed to have a telepathic understanding, all looking up towards a certain spot. Some had worry in their eyes, some indifference, and some greed and covetousness.
“Senior Sister, are you alright?” Luo Tangtang looked at Yun Shayi with a worried expression.
Yun Shayi seemed to have suffered very heavy injuries; her face was pale, without a trace of color, and she was constantly spitting out fresh blood, staining a large area of her clothing.
“We need to leave quickly,” Yun Shayi leaned half on Luo Tangtang, forcing her eyelids open, and said to Luo Tangtang.
“Alright, I’ll take you away now.” Luo Tangtang’s voice had a crying tone. She didn’t know what had happened; she had suddenly fainted, and when she woke up, she found Yun Shayi lying next to her, covered in blood.
Not long after that, the entire secret realm began to shake violently, on the verge of collapsing.
“Tangtang.” Suddenly, the little Qilin ran out from the side.
“Don’t come closer.” Luo Tangtang’s eyes suddenly turned sharp.
The little Qilin was stopped in its tracks and shrank its head back. It had just come out from the ancestral graveyard; the elder inside had told it that in order to preserve its last wisp of divine soul until it arrived, he had made a deal with the monsters in the secret realm, allowing them to devour the Qilin clan’s remaining vital energy.
The little Qilin felt uneasy at the time; after it hurriedly and completely accepted the Qilin inheritance, it rushed out immediately, and indeed, things were bad.
It glanced at Yun Shayi, who had fainted in Luo Tangtang’s arms, and whispered, “I didn’t know about the monsters beforehand; I wouldn’t harm you.”
“Shut up, don’t follow me.” Luo Tangtang carried Yun Shayi on her back and turned to leave.
She had to leave the secret realm quickly, or else after it collapsed, they would likely be trapped here forever, never able to get out.
Fortunately, they hadn’t walked far before a spatial crack appeared before her eyes; Luo Tangtang, holding Yun Shayi, stepped inside.
In the lush green forest, Luo Tangtang held Yun Shayi tightly, her heart breaking; an unprecedented fear spread in her heart, and her whole body felt terribly cold.
“Senior Sister, Senior Sister, are you alright!” Reaching a mountain cave, Luo Tangtang almost frantically slaughtered the demonic beasts in the cave, blood splattering onto her face and eyelashes.
She blinked blankly, and beads of blood rolled down her curled eyelashes; her whole body was stained red with Yun Shayi’s blood.
The spirit pills in her storage ring were all taken out and placed haphazardly on the ground; the large and small jade bottles were also scattered everywhere.
Luo Tangtang frantically stuffed the medicine into Yun Shayi’s mouth, her voice trembling, “Senior Sister, take the medicine, you’ll be alright after taking the medicine.”
“What should I do, what can I do?”
Tears streamed down in an instant; Luo Tangtang cried out in collapse, she could feel Senior Sister’s spiritual energy draining away, unable to replenish; like this, she would definitely die.
A rustling sound suddenly came from the bushes near the cave entrance; two snowy white horns poked out, and the little Qilin poked its head out from there.
“I can save her.”
Seeing Luo Tangtang’s murderous gaze, the little Qilin quickly said.
“Save Senior Sister?” Luo Tangtang’s eyes instantly burst with light and surprise.
“Then save her quickly!” Luo Tangtang’s tone was urgent, wanting to grab the little Qilin directly, but Senior Sister was lying in her arms, so she could only forcibly restrain herself.
“How do I do it?”
The little Qilin used its small paw to take off the pendant that had appeared on its neck at some unknown time; it was an object resembling a blood-red teardrop.
“Inside are three drops of Yuqi juice; it’s a sacred treasure of the Qilin clan.”
“You give it to her.”
Luo Tangtang picked up the pendant and looked at it, gritting her teeth and deciding to give it to Yun Shayi; no matter what, she had to try; if Senior Sister died, she would just die with her.
As soon as she opened the pendant, a surge of vibrant life energy rushed out; after Luo Tangtang gave it to Yun Shayi, she found that Yun Shayi’s previously depleted life force was gradually recovering, and her pale cheeks also gained a trace of color.
“That’s wonderful.” Tears still streamed down unconsciously; Luo Tangtang pressed her face against Yun Shayi’s and gently rubbed, “Senior Sister is alright now.”
The little Qilin at the side also let out a sigh of relief; thankfully, there wasn’t a death. Luo Tangtang had saved its life, and together with Yun Shayi, helped it return to its ancestral land; if she had died, it would feel uneasy.
Night quietly fell; Luo Tangtang guarded by Yun Shayi’s side. Perhaps because of the severe spiritual energy loss, Yun Shayi’s body temperature was even lower than usual; Luo Tangtang wanted her to sleep more comfortably, so she took out all the cloaks and small blankets from her storage ring and wrapped them around Yun Shayi. She would occasionally transfer spiritual energy to her; she guarded her like this for most of the night before finally falling asleep from exhaustion.
When Yun Shayi woke up, she saw Luo Tangtang and the little Qilin sleeping head-to-head in a heap. She forced herself to sit up, looking at the pile of brocade quilts on her body, almost forming a small mountain; a hint of helplessness flashed in her eyes, but the corners of her mouth quietly curved upwards a little.
“Senior… Senior Sister.” Luo Tangtang had a dream; in the dream, she was a child who fell into a valley, where she met a little girl in red who waved at her. Luo Tangtang wanted to follow her, but the little girl in red instantly disappeared; Luo Tangtang felt a little confused, then suddenly the little girl in red’s face changed into Senior Sister’s.
A sense of weightlessness struck, and Luo Tangtang woke up with a start.
Outside, it was already bright, and the sunlight shone onto the entrance of the small mountain cave; a few rays of sunlight hit Luo Tangtang’s eyes directly, making her squint.
She had slept for quite a while, and her senses weren’t very clear. Just as she thought of moving, she found a head on her leg; the little Qilin was using her leg as a pillow and sleeping soundly; Luo Tangtang immediately kicked it to the side.
Just as she turned her head, wanting to see how Senior Sister was doing, she saw the pile of brocade quilts that had fallen to the ground.
“Senior Sister?” Luo Tangtang’s heart suddenly jolted, sinking rapidly; she quickly rushed towards the pile of brocade quilts, muttering, “No, why is she gone? Where’s Senior Sister?”
“What’s wrong?” The little Qilin was still sleeping when it felt itself being kicked aside; just as it opened its eyes, it heard Luo Tangtang’s frightened voice.
“Senior Sister is missing.” Luo Tangtang stood up abruptly and was about to go find Yun Shayi.
“I’m not missing.” The voice coming from behind carried a hint of helplessness.
“Where did you go?” Luo Tangtang looked at the person who had suddenly appeared, tightly grasping her arm, her fingertips slightly trembling.
“Morning cultivation.”
“I saw you were asleep so I didn’t wake you.”
“You suffered such heavy injuries, why aren’t you resting properly, what are you cultivating!” Luo Tangtang was practically fuming, her eyes red.
Yun Shayi’s face was much more flushed, her previously blood-stained clothing had been changed, and she still carried a hint of water mist. Luo Tangtang picked up the topmost layer of brocade quilt from the ground and wrapped it around her again.
“Junior Sister, I’ve recovered mostly.” Yun Shayi’s gaze softened.
Luo Tangtang’s lips parted, her face full of wanting to speak but hesitating; in the end, she just shook her head and turned to leave.
Yun Shayi’s eyelashes trembled slightly, knowing that Luo Tangtang seemed to be angry, but not knowing how to coax her, so she could only silently follow behind her.
They hadn’t walked far before they encountered a group of people, led by none other than Lu Qingyan and Qi Xiaobai.
“Junior Sister!”
“Senior Sister!”
Lu Qingyan and Qi Xiaobai called out simultaneously.
The group behind them also showed excited expressions upon seeing Yun Shayi.
“We finally found you, we thought you were dead!” Seeing them, Qi Xiaobai’s eyes instantly shone with dazzling light, and he excitedly rushed forward a few steps.
Just as Luo Tangtang wondered when Qi Xiaobai’s feelings for her had become so deep, hesitating whether to give him a hug to comfort him, Qi Xiaobai happily ran past her…
Luo Tangtang: “…” She was being overly sentimental.
“So cute!” Qi Xiaobai picked up the snowy white furball on the ground, excitedly shouting.
Only then did Luo Tangtang realize that the little Qilin had cast some spell on itself, making it look like a small dog, its size reduced by half.
“What is this?”
“A dog, probably!” Luo Tangtang said quietly.
“Such a cute doggy!” Qi Xiaobai’s eyes sparkled; the little Qilin was being squeezed in his arms, its eyes rolling back.
Who did it learn this from? This eye-roll was truly vivid, expressively revealing three parts disdain, three parts mockery, and the remaining four parts utter despair.
Luo Tangtang watched them with malicious glee, then suddenly noticed that Qi Xiaobai was also quite miserable; his hair ornament was loose, his face was injured, and he looked travel-worn.
After playing for a while, he finally remembered the main point, “I really thought you Senior Sisters were dead, we couldn’t find you for ages.”
“Don’t worry, it’s not that easy to die. Do you know what exactly happened?” Luo Tangtang looked at the people before her; except for Lu Qingyan, whose clothes were relatively tidy, everyone else looked like they had been through a fierce battle, each one more miserable than the last; some were even sitting on the ground healing their injuries.
Lu Qingyan shook his head and replied, “Not sure, it seems like there was some problem with the secret realm and it forcibly closed; we were all repelled and kicked out.”
“But it’s good that everyone is alright.” Saying this, he showed a smile, but it looked a bit forced no matter how you looked at it.
“That’s right, if some disciples die, the secret realm won’t repel them. We just received a message from Venerable Zhi He telling us to gather.” Qi Xiaobai became gloomy again; clearly, this trip to the secret realm had been a big blow to him.
A horn sound suddenly rose in the distance, vast and distant, striking the hearts of the people – the gathering horn.
“We should first go and gather with Venerable Zhi He,” Yun Shayi said.
Everyone nodded; it was already a great fortune to return alive from the secret realm, and Fallen God Island wasn’t safe either; it was more reliable to find Venerable Zhi He.
When they found the gathering point, they realized there was already a large crowd; it seemed everyone who had come to the secret realm had gathered there.
Luo Tangtang’s gaze swept across and she found disciples from the major sects were all there, along with many rogue cultivators and demonic cultivators.
